Barbara, Vicki and others interested in salt, here in Maryland we have a pool we switched from Chlorine to Salt a couple of years ago, it was the best thing I ever did. now we have an in ground concrete pool and we didn't have to empty it. The pool company installed a "cell" and put in this box thing that monitors the Minerals... it was a little expensive in the beginning but

I only get down to SXM 2 weeks in the fall every year but I joined the group on FB called SXM trails. This was posted on their page and I thought I would share, I think this is a great thing! A fun way to see the island and help keep the island clean. Just thought I would share. Lynne

Mark, Yes all the units have coffee makers and full kitchens, small but full. Very nice and relaxing place. The Radisson is at the bottom of the hill and they have a couple of nice restaurants. The Calypso in the little village down there is also very nice. We ate there often, But you are so close to many good restaurants in Cul de sac, Grand Case, Orient beach area...you won't go hungry

My husband and I flew over for the day 2 years ago and rented a car..the island isn't that big. we visited several beaches but landed at St. Jean which is right at the end of the runway. There were restaurants there and a very nice beach. Would have like to visit a few others but maybe on our next trip.

Well I have to admit I was wrong I think the Oasis is the Biggest Darn Cruise ship I have ever seen. and I also agree they are not attractive at all. IMHO i don't see the attraction to be on a ship that large... The island has surely gotten it's fair share of rain and bad weather this year. I guess the piles of sand did help flooding in those areas. The foliage and flowers are outs

Yes I noticed that the camera was zoomed in to the ship and normally you see the beach etc. I guess whoever was maning the camera today also thought it was the biggest darn cruise ship too!! And now that i see the photo of the ship...WOW WOW!!!

I just peeked in on the Villas web cam to see how beautiful it is on the island. The camera shot was just about taken up with the biggest darn cruise ship I have ever seen. I think it is the Norwegian Epic.. and I do believe it is EPIC. Sorry I don't now how to post a screen shot but trust me it is LARGE!!! Would hate to see the traffic right about now! lynne

We departed on the 15th from BWI to Miami and had no problem at all, easy, and smooth flying...I couldn't believe it! Weather was great, the occasional showers one calls the Caribbean showers for the most part every

Hello all, We are arriving Friday for 2 weeks and I have been following the message board and have seen the weather that has been occurring on the Island the last couple of weeks...I was wondering if the mosquito's and bugs are bad? And if the stores carry a good supply of bug repellent or should I bring my own. We have never had any problems with bugs in the years past this time of year,

Phillipe, We will be down in October and staying in Anse Marcel, could one reach this by kayak? and I suppose one would go out of the cove and go to the right? It looked to me on a map last year that there are some really nice reefs near the dump and was wondering about snorkeling there...any one know? Keep the photos coming, I just love this since I never saw the island back then so this i
