A couple fo questions ...

First off, Happy New Year! to Gert and family, the moderators, and everybody else.

Can anybody give me a status update on the new bridge? Is it open yet, and how does it impact on traffic in Cole Bay?

Also, is there any sort of shuttle / water taxi that operates in the lagoon? If I was looking for a trip from Simpson Bay or Cupecoy to Marigot, for example, is there a way to get there through the lagoon?

Thanks in advance. Looking forward to our 2014 visit to your lovely island.

The causeway (bridge?) is open and has supposedly lightened the traffic congestion through Simpson to Cole Bay somewhat. Not there so can't say from firsthand info but merely from what I've read and heard elsewhere it does sound like a big improvement if going to or from the airport from the French side of the island. Hope to find out firsthand in a few months.

Re a lagoon water taxi service, I've often read about one but have not heard anyone actually speak of using it of late so I'm thinking it was something of short being or else is very specialized from point to point and if you're not staying in those 'points' then it doesn't get any mention.

Respectfully,

pat

Can anyone tell me if gobeach.com is a reputable rental agency to rent a villa in the Terres Basses area? If not, any recommendations? Thank you.

This is a weird and strange question to ask to gobeach.com itself....It's like asking the fisherman on his boat if his fish is fresh....Or asking to a restaurant if the food is good and if they could recommend another one. If the same website you are posting your question on wasn't reputable, do you really think it would still be here? Yes gobeach is reputable. Contact Annemarieke at sxm@gobeach.com or info@gobeach.com .

Kind Regards,
Philippe
