I am a UK citizen looking to move my business to St Martin but in being 100% Internet based, it is critical to have access to high-speed Internet services (i.e. 30+ mbps down, 5+ mbps up).

As a consequence, I have two technical questions and hope someone will be able to offer some answers please?

As the GCN 2.1Tb submarine cable now links into St Martin, are services such as high speed ADSL, coax cable, fibre optic to the cabinet (FTTC) and fibre optic to the premises (FTTP) now commonly available in St Martin or solely available in specific areas (e.g. Marigot, Terres Basses)?

In addition, is there an active and reliable 4G cellular network on both the French and Dutch sides of the island?

I do not know what type of business you are using with those data rates - but if it is a web hosted service - you can have it hosted almost anywhere in the world with your own domain name.

There is DSL and some cable internet in areas - as a visitor I cannot tell you specifically where and what the data rates are - but I have used my computer with good service on wifi connections.

As far as 4G I have not seen it - but there is 3G service (sporatic depending where you are) - it is mostly GSM - but there is some CDMA on the Dutch side.
