Just 'google' shells and you'll find plenty of wholesalers.
Good Luck!

Speaking of Rima's...i bought a lot of things (jewlery, gifts, etc) at the open air market tables in Phillipburg, then someone told me about Rima's and how they had the same stuff for about half the price! Well, they were right! I think that the people at the tables buy their things from Rimas and mark them up! I bought a shell bracelet for $20 because the lady told me she made it and it took her 10 hrs. STUPID ME I belived her then found the same one at rima's for $8!!!!!!!

One the the nicest things about these St. Maarten BB's is that readers and followers often find tips, tricks, hints, and advice that won't be found anywhere else.

Irina is right on----as is Lerch.

Rima's is a "fashion/trinket emporium" that caters to the beach & vendor sellers, as well as the tourists who know how to find Rima's.

If you want some shells, beads, or other various baubles, you can buy them at Rima's and even take them apart to make something of your own. They also sell most of the clothing, wraps, shirts, hats, etc. etc. that you see the beach vendors selling.

This is NOT an ad for Rima's, and in fact, my wife often will buy an inexpensive wrap from a beach gal, full knowing that we can get the same wrap at Rima's for a lot less..........

I like baseball hats. The ones at the name-brand bars cost me $15 - $20. The beach folks sell them for $5 - $7. I can buy those at Rima's for 3 for $10. You do the math.

DONT STOP THE CARNIVAL !!

On the Pondfill road. Facing the police station, about two or 3 blocks to the right. BIG yellow building with yellow flags. It's hard to miss!

You're right Barbara. I probably shouldn't have responded as I'm directionally challenged! I just meant - if you are facing the Police Station - RIMAS is a few blocks to the right. I sure can't do north, south, east and west LOL. Sorry if I caused confusion!

Well I now have a map, but it says that it was printed in 2002. The bad thing is it doesn't list street names. It does show downtown Phillipsburg street/blocks.

As bad as it sounds, after 7 trips to the island, I finally have a map that is better than the one I had with the car rental or from the island magazines.

I plan on parking over by the stop & go lights where you go North to the new paved parking lot. The map shows that it is by the administrative center.
What would the directions be to find Rima's.

Thanks in advance, you guys/gals are tops

Lenny

That's too far. You can park right in front of Rima's. It a very bright yellow building with big flagpoles in front flying Rima flags. You almost can't miss it.

Have never had any problems parking right in front of or across the street from Rimas. Really easy in and out.
