either the Maho Hotel area or the Philipsburg area.
both areas have fireworks, music, and restaurants to eat in.
Usually the Maho area is the biggest but last year thousands wnet to Philipsburg and the new boardwalk area.
It was hopping!

We were there for New Year a couple of years ago.
Dinner at Bistro ( cafe ? ) Paris in MAHO and then a walk over to SSBB for funcrowd and spectacular fireworks.
Had a great time.

Here is a tip - the traffic is incredible. If you plan to taxi and need to head away on the airport road towards Simpson ( or further ) then take a walk away from Maho towards the airport. You will find taxis in the jam tryinig to get back into Maho to pick up fares. Just hail him/her and they will be very happy to do a U turn, pick you up and wisk you away.

I think that's great advice from musesxm. We enjoyed dinner at Bistro last year too and it was very nice and a close walk to SSBB.
