I bought my first timeshare under construction prices in 1980 for $1800 from the resort in Florida. My maintenance fees have been right around $200 per year. Joined RCI for $60 a year and pay a Carribbean transfer fee for exchanging to St. Martin of about $100. Doing the math that has averaged $500 a year for 7 nights in St. Martin in peak season.

It is not an investment, but if you buy in at a low price it does save you money in the long run.

Glo. I only bought through Holiday Timeshare Resales and they charged $275. for resort transfer fees and that included all the fedex $$ for stuff back and forth. Sounds like their scamming but who knows. Maybe things of gone up since then.

Just out of curiosity.... How many units are there in this dump? Lets say 132 units per tower(12 per floor not counting the penthouses or Villas) at $600 a pop X 3 towers=$237'600.00 for one week X 52 weeks that makes..................

(Bent Over and Hold On To Your Ankles)

$12'355'200.00 for paint and furniture

Would anyone care for K.Y Jelly or some preparation H. I would at least like a little kiss first!

My fugures may be off a bit but I betcha I'm even low!!

Well - you may be off a little but your point is well made. To amplify my original post when yo can rent a well equipped studio apartment either on or close to OB for between $420 and $700 a week why bother with the long term commitment.
