Just confrimed thru RCI Extra Weeks for a studio with full kitchen that sleeps 4. Was wondering your recommendation for building/floor location of the best accomodations at the resort.
Thanks!

Get at least 2nd floor. Bld #2 is over the pool and bar area Bld one is center and building three is over the garden and kiddie pool(for week 10/11/12 its the tittie pool). Of course the higher you go the better the view of the ocean and surroundings. Make sure you get "ocean view" and not lagoon view!!! Ocean View!!!

Also, Studio is one full bed and pull out sofa bed in most units that I've seen.

Agree with sueogal, what you got is what you get unless there is something entirely different with RCI's Extra Weeks, but I doubt that.

Just returned from Sapphire, Ocean view is a must, includes hot tub on the deck! I emailed ahead of time to request ocean view, seemed to be very accomadating.

Good luck

We was looking at renting a oceanview studio at teh Sapphire club in November/December. Would you recommend the Sapphire club?

The rooms at Sapphire are numbered as follows for the main tower:

The first digit is the building (1, 2 or 3), the next digit is the floor (0 through 8), the third digit is the unit ( 0 through 6)

For example 360 would be in building three, on the sixth floor and be unit 0 (a two bedroom end unit),

The ground floor or lobby level is 0, so the sixth floor is actually 7 stories up.

Building 1 has fewer units, it was built first and is in the center of the tower, building 2 was next to be built and has slight differences in the floor plans. For example a two bedroom in building 2 has a very small second bedroom compared to a two bedroom in building 3.

There are studios and deluxe studios in all three buildings, a deluxe studio is a little larger but still sleeps 4.

Lagoon suites all face the road and if you are high enough up, you will see Simpson Bay....the lagoon suites do not have hot tubs. Most lagoon suites that I am aware of end with the digit 6, for example Unit 366...

Hope that helps.....

Best hotel for snorkeling

My husband and I are thinking about a vacation to St Martin during the last week of May 2007. Is there a beach front hotel with moderate accomodations that also has a good snorkeling area from the beach? I would love to find one that is also within walking distance to good night life, restaurants, casinos. Do you have any suggestions?
